The Who, What, Where, When & Why

It’s all about you really

Partnerpress Founder Shane Barnes

Who Am I?

I Thought You’d Never Ask!

My name is Shane Barnes, and I’m a WordPress developer who’s helped enterprising professionals get back to business since 2010. Beyond that, I’m a happy husband, a proud step father to two awesome boys, and the dutiful servant to two scrappy lap dogs. When I’m not busy with all of the above I can be found cycling the beautiful back roads of the Bay Area. That’s all really.

What Do I Do?

I Help You Reclaim Lost Time!

Whether you’re a sole proprietor or have a huge team behind you, I help you reclaim time lost to wrangling WordPress problems and chasing down flaky developers. As an expert in your field, your focus should be on achieving key business goals, not getting bogged down by WordPress problems. I make that happen.

Where Can I Be Found?

With my home base in Novato, CA I primarily serve clients in the San Francisco Bay Area, however, I have clients all over the country, many of whom I’ve never met outside of Zoom meetings.

When Am I Available?

My business hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 5:00pm. Unless it’s an absolute emergency meaning your website is down, I don’t work outside those hours, whether it’s evenings, weekends or holidays.

Why Do I Do This?

It’s a given that primary purpose of any business is to generate profit by delivering valuable services to their clients. In order to fulfill the former, I focus on the latter. By delivering incredible value to my clients and making their lives better, my life is bettered as well. It’s these values that make all the difference. To that end, my values are as follows.

Empathy

Whether I’ve experienced what you have or not, empathy is at the heart of all I do and is an essential element in my efforts to solve your most pressing problems.

Transparency

Without transparency, there’s no trust, and if there’s no trust, why bother? I’ll always be entirely transparent in all that I say and do on your behalf.

Generosity

I believe in the open exchange of information in my partnerships and I’ll always go out of my way to ensure that your best interests are served.

Simplicity

It’s easy to get carried away with and make matters more complicated than they should be. To that end, I strive for simplicity in all things.

Accountability

Things may go wrong in our work together. But it’s what I do to make things right that makes all the difference and that starts with accountability.

Humility

I’m not too proud to admit that I don’t know what I don’t know. But I won’t leave you hanging. I’ll always find someone who does.

Who I Work With

Before going any further, it’s important that we’re on the same page. I realize you’re a busy professional, and I don’t want to waste your time. Please consider each of the following items carefully before you call or submit information about your project. If it sounds like we may be a good fit, feel free to reach out, I’d love to hear from you.

You Have an Established Business

If your business is a “side hustle”, a hobby, or you’re preparing to close up shop in the near future, we’re not a good fit. We only work with established growth-focused businesses that are in it for the long haul. If this is you, then it’s likely we’re a good fit.

You Have Specific & Measurable Goals

You can’t get hit a target if you don’t know what you’re aiming for. Or where you’re aiming from for that matter. Which is to say you know your numbers, and you’re ready to do what it takes to improve them. If so, we’re probably a good fit.

You’re Invested in Your Success

Because you value quality work and have a marketing budget, you’re willing to invest in your success. You also understand that I don’t work on a trade basis, on the promise of “exposure”, or “more work to come”. If this works for you, then we’re a good fit.

You Have a Solid Team Behind You

Having a team behind you is important. Whether it’s in-house staff, a virtual assistant, or a fully-staffed marketing team, you can’t do it all by yourself. Your focus should be on doing what you do best. If this is true for you, we’re probably a good fit.

You Make Time for Your Partners

If we’re going to partner on a project, we need you to be as invested in your project as we are. If you’re too busy to make time for us, we can’t be of maximum service to you, and we’re not going to be a good fit. We’re definitely a good fit if you can make time for us.

You Enjoy What You Do For a Living

Loving what you do and being invested in your success makes the hardship of running a business exponentially easier. If you love what you do and you look forward to your work, we’re probably a good fit.
